Pull-up exercise on a towel

Share:

Towel Pullup is an exercise aimed at developing grip strength, working the muscles of the hands and forearms, as well as strengthening ligaments and tendons. Using a towel shifts most of the load from the latissimus dorsi and biceps to the forearms and turns towel pull-ups into an excellent dynamic exercise that has no analogues in the biomechanics of movement.

In combination with static exercises for the hands, for example, hanging on a horizontal bar or holding a barbell with bar extensions, it will give you a great boost to the growth of your forearms and increase your grip strength. A developed grip and a powerful forearm will be useful to you in almost any sports discipline, be it strength sports, arm wrestling, martial arts or artistic gymnastics.

In addition to increasing grip strength and muscle mass in the forearms, towel pull-ups develop small muscles in the palms and fingers, which improves muscle motor skills and is an excellent preventive measure against arthritis and other joint diseases. Many athletes notice that when they regularly perform pull-ups on a towel, pain in the wrist joints decreases.

The main muscle groups worked: brachialis, brachyradialis, flexors, extensors, pronators and supinators of the hand, biceps, rear deltoids, latissimus dorsi.
