When people think of the upper arms, they think of the biceps and triceps. These are the muscles that get all the attention in the gym. But there is another small muscle that needs to be addressed. It's called brachialis.

Anatomy

Before you learn how to pump up the brachialis muscle, you need to understand its anatomy. The brachialis is a muscle located between the biceps and triceps.

Brachialis is one of those muscles that we cannot see (especially if we are talking about ordinary people who do not engage in iron sports). Many experts in the field of bodybuilding note that 60-70% of the load during bending the arms at the elbow joint is taken by this muscle, and not the biceps. A large and well-developed brachialis pushes the biceps upward, which purely visually makes the arm more massive and voluminous. That is why you should pay attention to working this muscle.

Results

Biceps training for many athletes is the main target task in the gym before the summer season. But to make the muscle really big, don’t forget about basic exercises for your back and legs. Despite the presence of specialization, up to a certain point the muscles will grow along with the total mass, which is developed precisely by the classical base: deadlifts, barbell presses, pull-ups, heavy squats, etc.
